Hi, I am Alex Herman.

Snowdrop Creative Co. was born from a dream. A dream that I could do the things that I LOVE, be present for my children and my partner, and create work that I am proud of. It sounds like what we all wish for, right? Well, it isn't always so simple as "I want this, so I'm doing it."

I spent ten years in retail management. I spent long days away from my family, only to get home to them and be too tired to enjoy my time with them. My life was cold and dreary, and I knew something had to change.

And so, Snowdrop was born. A place where I can create and love what I do. Capture memories and magic and joy in a single moment.

The Snowdrop flower is the first flower to bloom after a long, harsh winter. It symbolizes hope, and the birth of spring. And for me, that is exactly what Snowdrop Creative Co. is: hope, and the birth of something beautiful.

Owner and Lead Photographer

I love all things weddings. I feel so grateful that I get to capture the most important and memorable moments of your life. I know wedding planning always feels like you're sharing your life's story, but never get to know the people you're hiring. So, here are a few fun facts about me:

  • My favorite color is bright, sunny yellow
  • My favorite food is kimchi pancakes
  • The most important tool for me on your wedding day is coffee
  • My favorite sport is hockey
  • I have two children, both boys, and they're cooler than Batman and Robin.

I've been with Snowdrop since Early 2023 and I am our Lead Videographer. On your wedding day, I'm the guy who captures all your best angles, calls the shots for the team, and tells the story of your day. Here's a few fun facts about me to break the ice:

  • I have a Masters in Strategic Communications from Shippensburg University
  • My favorite color is purple, but you’ll almost always find wearing black
  • I love running and am training for my first marathon
  • I would eat sushi everyday if I could
  • The most important tool for weddings is my gimbal

How do you photograph weddings?

My style is warm, romantic, and full of documentary style candids. I love capturing authentic moments of your wedding day. I am by your side to help you even before your wedding day- I'll send you a guide to help you with organizing your day, the best moments for bridal portraits, the timeline for your day, and so on. On your wedding day, I want to capture the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your wedding unique.

When will we get our photos?

You will receive an online gallery link with all your photos within a maximum of 12 weeks (sometimes less depending on the season I photograph your story). You can download all the photos from the gallery, share them on social media, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

A sneak peek album includes 5-15 digital images for use on social media. Sneak peek albums are delivered per the contracted time. Most contracts will state that sneak peeks will be delivered within 7 days, however, I do my best to return sneak peeks within 48 hours. I will always inform you when you should expect your sneak peek album.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I am based in Central Pennsylvania, and yes I love to travel! If you choose me to photograph your story, it may require a travel fee, depending on where it takes place. I do have a few places on my list that I'd love to visit, and I do waive travel fees for those locations. I try to make my packages and fees affordable and accessible to everyone.

How many pictures will we receive?

For a 8 hours coverage wedding, you will receive between 350 to 600 fully edited images. I always choose quality rather than quantity and that is why I will choose the best and most significant, memorable photos to tell your story.
